The College, with about 600 students is just the right size; big enough to offer a wide curriculum but small enough to provide a more personal environment that allows each student to be treated as an individual. We have high expectations of our students. We want every student to leave Kaipara with the best possible education. We believe that academic success includes formal learning in a wide range of intellectual and practical pursuits. Everyone, whatever their talents, has the right to be able to succeed in the fields that interest them and at a level which stretches their own personal abilities. We will challenge students academically in and out of the classroom. We believe in a broad general education. Such an education includes academic success, sporting involvement, cultural pursuits and meeting challenges while learning to be top quality, resilient young adults. Adolescence is a time of learning to be adults in a society that expects individuals to know what&rsquo;s right and wrong within themselves so that they not only are responsible for their own actions, but able to determine and live lives that make a positive social contribution.
