Although on the same site they operated as two separate schools and much effort was put into keeping the boys and girls apart! The girls had their own quarters, a separate entrance and a 14-foot wall divided the playground. Auckland Girls&#39; Grammar School is committed to providing an education for young women which encourages achievement and self esteem, fosters a co-operative spirit and celebrates diversity so that students develop the knowledge, skills and values necessary to face the challenges of the future and to participate in a bi-cultural and ethnically diverse society. The Board of Trustees is accountable for the school&#39;s performance and for enhancing student achievement. It emphasizes strategic leadership, sets the vision for the school and ensures that it complies with legal and policy requirements. Auckland Girls&#39; employs 89 teachers and 29 support staff who are guided by the Senior Management Team. Auckland Girls&#39; Grammar School has students from more than 50 different countries. We celebrate our cultural diversity officially with an International Week in Term 1.Auckland Girls&#39; Grammar School is a signatory to the New Zealand Ministry of Education&#39;s Code of Practice for International Students.</p>
